Receptive Tour Operators are defined as United States-based companies which specialize in creating, marketing, and selling United States travel products to International Inbound travelers. Receptive Tour Operators have unique knowledge of the countries they serve and of the destinations they sell. A Tour Operator shall be considered a Receptive when the majority of its revenue is derived from Inbound International travelers to the United States.

Brand USA Reauthorization Legislation Passes House
The House of Representatives voted late on July 22 to pass H.R. 4450, the Travel Promotion, Enhancement, and Modernization Act. The legislation authored by Congressional Travel and Tourism Caucus co-chair Gus Bilirakis, R-Fla., and co-sponsored by co-chair Rep. Sam Farr, D-Calif., and caucus member Rep. Peter Welch, D-Vt.,  reauthorizes Brand USA – a public-private partnership designed to encourage tourism to the United States. Travel and tourism is the United State’s top export industry and Brand USA’s efforts have already brought an additional 1.1 million visitors to the United States. The bipartisan legislation passed 347-57. Next up: BUSA reauthorization legislation in the Senate.

Braztoa's Tourism Week (September 8-14) is an integrated action between members, providers (hotels, airlines, among others) and destinations in order to offer Brazilian travelers discounted prices for booking travel in periods of low occupancy throughout the year. It relies on the website www.turismoweek.com.br for publication of vacancies, a network on Facebook with approximately 47 thousand followers, and an ad campaign for the trade and end consumers.

RSAA Announces Trade Mission to Brazil
RSAA is pleased to announce a trade mission to Brazil solely for RSAA members. The mission will take place Sept. 28 - Oct. 3 in the cities of Belo Horizonte, Curitiba and Porto Allegre, with an optional program in Rio de Janeiro. Hurry...space is limited to the first 10 paying participants.

RSAA Summit 2015 to Be Held at The Linq Las Vegas
Due to the closure of Harrah’s Tunica, the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority and RSAA are pleased to announce that the 2015 RSAA Summit has been moved to The Linq in Las Vegas over the same dates of Feb. 3-4, 2015.  RSAA appreciates the support of our partners in Tunica and Memphis and their efforts to host the 2015 Summit.

We appreciate Caesars Entertainment’s continued commitment to host the event with the change in destination.  As the original event was being hosted by Caesars Entertainment, the decision was made to relocate the event to another Caesars property.

Further details will be provided in the coming months…so mark your calendars for Feb. 3-4, 2015.
